Conceived, curated and installed a juried traveling exhibition of Artists Books called SHELTER to raise funds for homeless charities and call attention to the universal problem of homelessness. 80 entries exhibited at 7 venues on the East Coast: April 2008-May 2009.
Designed, directed 3-year program of rental fine art exhibits for offices of major Boston financial management firm. Resulting acquisitions formed corporate collection; employees gained exposure to new fine art directions and met artists at bi-monthly receptions.
Haverhill MA Historic District Study Committee: Mayoral appointment- served 3-year term. Formulated inventory of 18th century properties, conducted public discussions of district consequences to land owners, created descriptive brochure. District placed on National Register in December 1976
American Institute of Interior Designers New England Chapter: as Board member, originated and directed successful scholarship fund-raising tour of Boston waterfront architecture; organized speakers, luncheon, receptions, tour guides, graphics, publicity.
American Society of Interior Designers New England Chapter: Conceived and directed Annual Student Competition. Wrote program, directed publicity, enlisted hospitality industry sponsor to donate scholarship awards and a First Prize vacation at an offshore resort.
Massachusetts Association of Realtors Commercial Investment Division: as Education Committee Chair, organized and chaired panel discussion on Adaptive Reuse/Recycled Buildings. Coordinated audio-visual presentations, panelists, program design; promoted National Trust.
Cofounded nonprofit Rocks Village Memorial Association (Haverhill MA): directed fund-raising programs, seasonal festivals, art shows, children’s events for 9 years
As a real estate broker for Coldwell Banker & Company, listed a 5 acre property for sale that included a First Period pioneer dwelling. Lack of sellers’ preservation codicils virtually insured demolition by developers for an 11 lot subdivision. Broker personally contracted with Seller for entire parcel at asking price, commissioned survey for 4-lot subdivision, identified buyers for each parcel, arranged simultaneous closing of 4 properties, preserving significant 1700 era structure.

2014 Raised $15,000 from private sources for an ARTSPACE Projects, inc. feasibility study of the “North Trail” corridor to evaluate potential for developing Live/Work housing for artists. Artspace Inc. is the country’s largest non-profit developer of artists’ housing. Project is now in Phase II, raising funds for a requisite Survey of the arts community.
